The centre has gone from strength to strength over the past few years. It has developed such strong ties with the community it serves. These links are grounded in trust. Trust not only from the residents of all ages who use the Centre but also by the organisations and statutory services who see Gallows Close delivering on what it says it will do, and delivering in such a way that people are valued and respected.
Gallows Close is an organisation that looks at those who use the Centre as equals; they may be in need of some immediate support but they have skills and enthusiasm to develop for the benefit of their community.

We aim to be the go-to organisation for the community but also about knowing that we cannot deliver everything and that working with others can draw more expertise into the community. By introducing and supporting other services and groups to deliver in the safe space of the Gallows Centre they build up resilience in their community base as well as increased awareness of the issues, priorities and opportunities of the communities of Barrowcliff and Northstead.

We aim to build on existing achievements encouraging volunteers from the community it services, volunteers who become passionate about the values of Gallows Close and who want to inspire others. We want to work to support people to build up their own problem solving skills and resilience in order to avoid crises in the future.

For Gallows Close, success is especially about empowering the younger generation. Helping them to find their voice, to develop aspirations and dreams and to be able to make choices and decisions that will have a positive effect on their future and the lives of others.
